Smartway and SES-imagotag were honoured at the 42nd LSA Innovation Awards 2021. This is the second award received since the launch of the solution Smartdetection Flash Evo in September 2021. It was already a winner at the most recent Perifem Day!
To draw up the 2021 list of winners, 3 juries studied more than 110 applications. Forty-six winners were selected in various categories according to the originality of the approach, the type of innovation and the market potential.

“Smartdetection Flash Evo drastically reduces food waste and adds value for products that used to be thrown away and donated, thereby increasing a store’s profitability. For every €1 invested, they can save at least €2 and up to €6 or even €10,” explains Guillaume Vicot, Chief Revenue Officer at Smartway.
4 times faster at finding short-dated products
Every morning, the employees at self-service stores go through the same ritual: checking the shelves to identify soon-to-expire products.
Smartdetection Flash Evo makes this time-consuming and tedious task easier with its unique artificial intelligence: “This innovation not only allows us to identify the number of items affected by SLEDs, but above all to locate them instantly thanks to our flashing electronic labels. It only takes four minutes to check 500 products,” says Loïc Oumier, EVP of marketing and communication at SES-imagotag.
